Imagine the intense feelings of vulnerability and fear that rise when support from trusted sources is suddenly withdrawn after years of reliance. For many, especially single mothers, the absence of assistance often creates a profound sense of helplessness, particularly when they lack the skills necessary to improve their circumstances. This scenario lays bare the struggles faced by countless single mothers battling for survival in an unforgiving environment. The Mother Organisation deeply empathizes with these mothers’ pain and challenges, dedicating itself to enhancing their lives through various initiatives designed to restore their self-esteem and bring joy back into their lives.

Nourishment for the Needy: Distributing Nutritious Meals: Mother Organisation

Access to food remains a fundamental necessity that many individuals are deprived of daily. Among those most affected are single or abandoned mothers, particularly elderly women in their 60s and 70s. These individuals often grapple with severe challenges in securing even a single meal due to dire poverty, a lack of support systems, and a host of health-related issues.

Recognizing this pressing need, our Mother Organisation is committed to addressing the plight of these women by organizing regular food distribution camps in impoverished areas. Through these efforts, we strive to ensure that every mother has access to nutritious meals, providing vital vitamins and essential nutrients to sustain their strength and resilience.

Prioritizing Health: Comprehensive Healthcare for Vulnerable Mothers

In addition to the critical need for food, health stability presents a significant challenge for single mothers, especially for elderly women grappling with various medical concerns and chronic illnesses, often without any financial means to seek treatment or assistance. The role of our NGO is central to providing effective healthcare solutions, where we strive to understand the unique circumstances of these mothers.

We offer regular health check-ups, free medical treatments, and essential medications to help them navigate any potential health challenges. Moreover, we distribute hygiene kits to women living in slums, which prove indispensable in maintaining health and hygiene. Our commitment is unwavering: no single mother should confront health problems alone while we are here to help them.

Empowering Lives Through Education: The Path to Growth

Education serves as a critical pathway for transformation, particularly for women and mothers who may feel lost while trying to navigate their circumstances. It equips individuals with valuable skills to secure income and fosters critical thinking and decision-making capabilities. Unfortunately, many single mothers struggle to escape their hardships because they depend on others for their basic needs, leading to a sense of vulnerability and an inability to improve their quality of life after losing their support systems.

To combat this, The Mother Organisation provides quality educational opportunities tailored for women in slum areas through dedicated educational camps. By targeting middle-aged mothers, elderly women, and young girls, we ensure that every female has the opportunity to learn and grow, ultimately shattering the cycle of dependence.

Vocational Training: Building Skills for a Self-Sufficient Future

At the heart of The Mother Organisation’s philosophy is the empowerment of women both on personal and professional fronts. By fostering women’s professional growth, we aim to secure a future where they can thrive independently and assertively engage with society. To realize this vision, our organization conducts various vocational training programs in partnerships with different organizations, providing single mothers and young girls with essential skills in areas such as tailoring, crafting, and design. These training opportunities are offered free of charge, enabling these women to acquire the knowledge necessary for financial independence and sustainable livelihoods for themselves and their families.

Supporting Mental Well-Being: Counseling for Strength

Understanding the mental aspects of the challenges faced by single mothers and marginalized women is integral to our approach. The Mother Organisation provides free counseling sessions targeted at women in slums who struggle with mental health issues such as hopelessness, anxiety, and depression. Our intent is to create a safe and healing environment where these women can openly discuss their struggles and receive guidance toward resolving these challenges. Through supportive counseling, we strive to help these mothers regain their mental strength and pursue their aspirations with renewed vigor.

Clothing Initiatives: Dignity Through Presentation

Recognizing the various challenges impacting a mother’s ability to foster personal development and character, The Mother Organisation aims to create a nurturing environment that empowers women and inspires hope through our initiatives. We believe that a strong sense of self is closely tied to how individuals present themselves, which is why we provide free clothing to single mothers residing in slum areas. Our distribution

efforts include essentials like summer and winter garments, as well as blankets, ensuring that mothers in our community receive the support they deserve. By promoting dignity and respect through appropriate attire, we are enhancing not only their self-esteem but also their standing in both family and society.

Conclusion

The Mother Organisation is a living testament to the unwavering support provided to mothers, embodying the essence of compassionate service without partiality. Our mission as an NGO is to care for single mothers, fulfilling their basic needs while simultaneously offering them opportunities to evolve into independent individuals. We aspire to empower them to take charge of their own lives and care for their children, thus contributing to the emergence of a more equitable society for all women, girls, and single mothers. Our objective is to create a world where these resilient mothers can navigate their lives with joy, respect, and dignity, leaving a lasting legacy for their families.

The Government of India and UNICEF actively promote safe motherhood practises because mothers aren’t just nurturers but also givers of life. In light of this, on April 11 of each year, India observes National Safe Motherhood Day to raise consciousness regarding the significance of providing maternity care and facilities to women who are expectant or nursing. Mother Concern is a Mother Organisation that helps many women to get the best facilities.

Apart from providing proper care to women, this day also focuses on the anemia problem in women. A natural occurrence in the lives of women who are of reproductive age is becoming pregnant.

A woman becomes pregnant when her uterus becomes fertilized and one or more embryos or foetus begins to develop. There may be more than one gestation throughout pregnancy, as with twins or triplets.

When a woman has a four-week menstrual cycle, childbirth typically happens about 38 weeks after conception, or 40 weeks after the start of the last regular period (LNMP). An individual can conceive with assisted reproductive technology or through sexual activity. The most significant time in a woman’s life is during pregnancy. The reduction of mother and newborn mortality is a major concern.

The Mother Organisation helps mothers get medical facilities during the time of motherhood. We provide them with all the necessary facilities to meet their needs. Many women even don’t get health facilities due to poverty, which is a traumatizing condition.

Mother Organisation: History of National Motherhood Day

Let us inform you that the White Ribbon Alliance India (WRAI) initiative, which aims to educate women about healthy lifestyle choices and the accessibility and availability of various healthcare programmes throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and post-natal care, is the reason why this day is observed.

The Indian government proclaimed April 11 as National Safe Motherhood Day in 2003 at WRAI’s request. This day marks Kasturba Gandhi’s birth anniversary and is also known as National Safe Motherhood Day. She is Mohan Das Karam Chand Gandhi’s (the nation’s father) wife. According to White Ribbon Alliance around the globe, approx 15% of death caused is due to maternal issues.

National Safe Motherhood Day Theme

Let us inform you that WRAI chooses the National Safe Motherhood Day theme each year.

The government has not yet released the official theme for this year’s Safe Motherhood Day. The WRAI members choose the theme each year, though, and they organize extensive campaigns to raise awareness of maternity care and healthcare for expectant and nursing mothers.

White Ribbon Alliance India (WRAI) conducts several activities, raises awareness, and plans extensive campaigns all over the nation. These campaigns attempt to ensure that every woman has the capacity to make it during pregnancy and childbirth and that she has the right to life.

Apart from this, let us tell you the theme of other days as well.

2022: Remain at home amid coronavirus; protect mother and infant from coronavirus

2021: Stay at home during coronavirus; keep mother and newborn safe from coronavirus

2019: Midwives for Mothers

Importance of National Motherhood Day

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that more than 830 women each year pass away from pregnancy- and childbirth-related causes. The authorities believed that professional treatment before, during, and after childbirth may prolong the lives of women and newborn babies.

The campaign is about educating women about strategies to lower their mortality risks was necessary. As one of the Sustainable Development Goals, National Safe Motherhood Day seeks to lower the worldwide death rate to 70 per 1,000 births.

Sustainable Development Goals

Countries have come together in support of a new Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) aim to reduce maternal mortality more quickly by 2030. “Reducing the global MMR to fewer than 70 per 100 000 births, with no nation having a maternal mortality rate that is more than twice the global average,”. It is one of the ambitious targets of Sustainable Development Goal 3.

Tips to Keep in Check

The period of motherhood is very crucial and delegate time for a mother. Further, we will discuss the steps a pregnant mother should keep in mind before, during, and after pregnancy time. As the time of pregnancy is divided into trimesters and according to this, a regular check needs to be done.

Early Screening

The best way a mother and unborn child is given protection is through get mother-child protection card. The checkup program should include 4 antenatal checkups that include diabetes, anemia, hypertension, and vaccination.

Antenatal checkups

Further, highlighting the steps of antenatal checkups let us what is Antenatal Care. Antenatal care is a process in which a pregnant lady is checked under supervision to monitor the growth of fetus and to identify if any complication is involved in the pregnancy period.

Now there are a few steps involved in antenatal checkups.

First ANC Checkup: Immediately following the missed period or in the initial three months.

From the fourth to sixth month of pregnancy, a second ANC examination is.

A third ANC examination in the seventh or eighth month of pregnancy.

At the ninth month of pregnancy, the fourth ANC checkup

Nutrition

During the time of pregnancy, there is a need to keep a check on diet. There are many do and don’t for the intake of food. During pregnancy, time the consumption of dietary products such as milk, paneer, curd, and buttermilk are rich in proteins, vitamins, and calcium.

Proteins are found in cereals, whole grains, and lentils. Iron and folic acid are both abundant in green leafy vegetables. Apart from this meat, egg, chicken, or fish is a rich source of proteins, vitamins, and iron.

Measure to Protect Mothers

Particularly in India’s rural regions, organizations like WRAI are actively working to provide therapies to save the lives of women. Women in India frequently experience anemia, a problem for which they are working to raise awareness.

In order to improve the health of women, the Indian government has also worked in this area in response to National Safe Motherhood Day through a variety of programmes and initiatives, such as the Indira Gandhi MatritvaSahyogYojana(IGMSY), a maternity benefit programme.

In addition, there are numerous government programmes and health regulations made accessible by the government to make sure that rural residents, particularly rural women, have access to affordable health care.

Conclusion

The National Safe Motherhood Day also maternal mortality rate. aims to discourage child marriages, which are still widespread in many rural parts of India and which linked to the rising

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), women who live in rural regions and impoverished are more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes and are less likely to know how to use medical services.

However, according to WHO data, between 1990 and 2015, the rate of maternal death decreased globally by more than 44%.

According to the 2011 census, maternal death rates have fallen by over 17% even in India, and the country’s government is trying to further reduce this number.

Mother Concern a Mother Organisation is always there for pregnant ladies who are in need of help and want assistance regarding pregnancy.

Mother Organisation: One of the most important requirements in the world that is frequently disregarded, is child welfare. However, there is a broad range of services that adhere to the needs and safety of children. Basically, by helping poor children, teens, and their families, educators can make a substantial contribution to society’s fight against child abuse and neglect. Moreover, children who are in desperate need of social, educational, or financial support can have their general well-being ensured through child welfare with Mother Organisation.

Basically, child protection is widely considered a significant aspect of societal development and India has a wide variety of legislation to protect children. Due to insufficient human resource capability and a lack of high-quality protection and treatment programs, following the rules has proven difficult. As a result, millions of kids are vulnerable to abuse, violence, and exploitation.

Jawaharlal Nehru once said, “To awaken the people, it is the women who must be awakened. Once she is on the move, the family moves, the village moves, the nation moves”.

Lastly, these lines are the perfect pictures of how rarely women is treated in the country. However, there are immense ways for women to explore and grab opportunities. However, a country cannot achieve development unless they don’t have equal rights as its counterparts. Furthermore to gain these rights women must come forward and raise their voices for their rights. Moreover, Mother Concern a Mother Organisation is there to support you in these difficult times. Women should stand up for their rights, and awareness should be held, because if they are considered equal in society and given equal rights, they will undoubtedly do wonders.

Mother Organisation on Women’s Welfare

Moreover, Mother Concern meanwhile needs to empower women this means giving important opportunities in all spheres of life. There are several places where it is clear that women are not kept in imprisonment and are viewed as equally powerful to males. However, there are still some places where women face a lot of discrimination. However, women are enjoying the freedom and other fundamental rights. Basically, due to their and the government’s efforts, it has happened. We cannot, however, claim that because women have achieved equality, women’s empowerment is no longer necessary. However, the empowerment of women is still required in underdeveloped places like villages. Meanwhile, some women are unable to make decisions for themselves and must be driven.

How Women’s empowerment is essential if a nation hopes to develop. Basically, women should speak up for their rights and not be afraid to do so in order to be given the chance to make their own decisions and to make everyone proud. However, people should recognize the importance of women and should appreciate them as the cause of life. Mother Concern women’s welfare organization is always equally there for needy women.

Various Initiatives by the Government

Basically, the injustice done against women from birth and in adolescence is the first of these issues that need to be addressed. In many rural regions, it is again normal practice to kill female infants , or female infanticide. In spite of the 1994 passing of the “Prenatal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act,” female feticide is still common meanwhile in some regions of India. Moreover, even if they live, they will encounter intolerance all of their lives. Moreover, Female children are typically overlooked when it comes to nutrition, education, and other important aspects of their upbringing because sons are traditionally expected to care for their parents in old age, while daughters are seen as a burden because of the dowry and other expenses involved with their marriage.

Whereas in our nation, the sex to male ratio is shockingly low at the same time. Accordingly to the 2001 census, there were only 933 females for every 1000 males. The Sex Ratio is a important growth indicator. However, Sex ratios in developed nations are typically over 1000. Furthermore, the Sex Ratios for the USA are 1029, Japan 1041, and Russia are 1140. Kerala has the greatest sex ratio in India—1058—while Haryana has one of the lowest values—861.
